Description
Has a pronounced antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic effect. Due to the sulphate, which is part of gentamycin, eye drops have a wide spectrum of antimicrobial action, which destroys most bacteria.
"Decta-2" - a drug for the treatment and prevention of ophthalmic diseases.
These eye drops is apply to dogs and cats with a curative and prophylactic purpose for acute and chronic ophthalmic diseases of bacterial etiology, including conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, iridocyclitis, as well as for the prevention of eye diseases after injuries and foreign bodies, in eye surgery - in preoperative and postoperative periods.
Dosage and administration
In the presence of abundant secretions from the eyes, the hygienic treatment is carried out first: with the sterile gauze cloth moistened with the preparation, the corners of the eyes, eyelids, remove the exudate and the dried crusts. Then the drug is instilled into the conjunctival cavity 2 to 3 drops 2 to 3 times a day for 5 to 10 days until the clinical signs of the disease disappear.
If necessary, repeat the treatment.
To prevent complications when foreign body and other irritating agents enter the eye, as well as in ophthalmic surgery, in the preoperative and postoperative periods, the drug is instilled in the conjunctival cavity 1-2 times a day 3 times a day for 3 days.
Adverse effects
Adverse events and complications are not observed in case of administration as per package insert. Stop drug administration in case of increased individual sensitivity to active drug ingredients and frank irritation.
Storage
Store carefully. Protect from light. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 0-25°С. Shelf life is 2 years from manufacturing date. After opening store a bottle up to 10 days.
