Vintage 1939 Singer featherweight 221 sewing machine, works, new belt, no chest

Up for auction to U.S. customers only is an old Singer featherweight sewing machine. There is no case or any other accessories but the power cord and foot peddle. I know very little about sewing machines but the previous owner told me that the belt was new (it looks new). The power works, the light works and the needle moves up and down. But it doesn't move very fast and it may have something to do with the tension on the belt (or something else) but I don't know how to adjust the speed. And since I don't know how to thread the needle I can't say how well it will sew. Based on other ebay listings it appears all the parts necessary to make it work are there. And cosmetically it appears in very good condition -- minor wear to the finish but the decals all are in good shape. The old "feet" on the machine were badly worn and scratched surfaces so I added some felt pads, but they are easily removed if you want to fix the original pieces. I checked the serial number -- AF384776  --  online and it shows it was made in 1939 (maybe November). All in all a nice machine that might work very well with some adjustments.
NOTE: I have found that the Ebay shipping calculator is not always reliable so please use the shipping cost as a guide only. Do not pay for the item until I send you an invoice with correct shipping cost. Sorry, but I have ended up losing money on shipping charges. I also reduce shipping cost if I can find a cheaper shipper.

Some buyers have requested refunds because they thought they were getting something other than what was described and pictured. I'll answer all questions and even send extra pictures, but if you don't ask in advance then you can't expect me to give you a refund because you made some assumptions about the item. I'm not an expert on most of the things I sell, nor a mind reader, so I'd like to clear up questions as much as you would.
